Shirtless Ewan. All for you. Now don't say I don't love you!

EDIT: my friend Dina who's reviewing the language in the comic (thanks again ) comments: as soon as I saw Ewan's naked torso I thought:" Now the fan girls are going to come outta the goddamn walls!"
You know where the quote comes from, right?

---
This is a fan comic based on the Bioware's videogame "Dragon Age: Origins" and expansions. All characters and characters design except those not fitting the game belongs to Bioware, Ewan is designed on a customizable Player Character so he doesn't belong to anyone but as concept to me, the story is mine so it's not official, no copyright infringement is intended so don't bother me about it.

We all make some sport of sort in the tower: free climbing, marathon, pole vault... so if we decide to run away we have a physical preparation the templars want us to keep in shape

We need more shirtless Ewan. Yes. That would make the comic much much better.

That's what you get for drawing guys with no shirts. We rabid fangirls start drooling.

Jowan probably thinks: "You chop the wood just to show off your shiny shirtlessness!"
(I had to re-read few times to get what they're talking about. Shirtless wardens don't get along well with dialogues )

Abadir In reply to Galagraphia [2011-01-05 10:31:32 +0000 UTC]

you notice there were dialogue, it's a start...
Jowan knows Ewan is a show-off XD

aha! I knew it!
Come on, Jowan, chop some wood too!

Abadir In reply to Galagraphia [2011-01-05 11:11:32 +0000 UTC]

Oh, well, I think shirtless Jowan would be better than Ewan: he has stronger constitution (and untainted blood)...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Galagraphia In reply to Abadir [2011-01-05 11:14:16 +0000 UTC]

But he doesn't fight too much and doesn't carry weapons and armor. Though he might have a better skin color

Ture, but Ewan cheats with Arcane Magic...

I therefore conclude that in every comic with male wardens, there should be a shirtless-chopping-wood scene.

Abadir In reply to ximena07 [2011-01-05 01:43:21 +0000 UTC]

Edric had his shirtless scenes, but was he chopping wood in one of them? Don't remember...
(BTW, this is sexist: why only with male wardens? )

This is indeed sexism, somebody must fix that *glances at miss Amell*

Yep. He was. XDDD [link] [link]

(LOL. I noticed that it is. Didn't mean that. Dx By all means, any warden could chop wood. Shirtless. XD)

Abadir In reply to ximena07 [2011-01-05 01:53:16 +0000 UTC]

Right, I remember something in brown tints XD
so THAT'S the duty that cannot be forsworn! Chopping wood shirtless... XD
that makes sense: Weissupt is a cold place... wardens must chop wood all the time, there (and they are shitless because they are warden so they must show off they are cool)
Ancient traditions... like Griffons...

Woo, finally caught up on this.

Love it, Ewan should chop wood more often ;3

Abadir In reply to wierdstuff [2011-01-04 21:30:16 +0000 UTC]

Well, he usually chops darkspawn... and undead... and blighted beasts... and dwarven ghosts... and tevinter slavist pigs... uhm, yea, he should start chopping more ordinary things...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

wierdstuff In reply to Abadir [2011-01-05 20:52:07 +0000 UTC]

Indeed, especially since ordinary things can be done shirtless. Shirtless chopping of ogres probably isn't the best idea XD

Yllwenn is also wondering that XD (I've downloaded a mod to have him at Vigils Keep... I wonder how will it work???)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Abadir In reply to SoniaCarreras [2011-01-04 21:52:01 +0000 UTC]

I think everyone's wondering that... Zevran and Leliana's leave doesn't have sense if you have romanced them and they have said they would have stayed or travelled with you...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SoniaCarreras In reply to Abadir [2011-01-04 22:42:56 +0000 UTC]

I'm with you. That's what I did that Awakening epilogue, I coudn't imagine Zevran waiting for the warden to come back, if he loved him/her so much and heard about the fall of the Vigil... I guess Bioware did it for technical issues (too many options there) but it was lame and disappointing.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Abadir In reply to SoniaCarreras [2011-01-04 23:13:36 +0000 UTC]

or maybe they wouldn't put Zevran, Leliana and Alistair in awakening because Morrigan wasn't avaiable no matter what and Alistair would have been unavaible if king. Else, the didn't want to put romanceable characters because "the story wouldn't fit romance", the atmosphere is darker so make put romanceable characters in the expansion would have sidetracked the player, dunno.
Also, I have read a response about romanceable characters in DAII, I don't remember who said something like "There is something but DAII will be a fantasy RPG not a date simulator", so I think they made one step back on that front...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SoniaCarreras In reply to Abadir [2011-01-04 23:35:56 +0000 UTC]

Definitely. Some of us were hooked just because of how good romance is in this game...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Abadir In reply to SoniaCarreras [2011-01-04 23:46:18 +0000 UTC]

I think it adds something to the game, the same I realize the game is not about that... I would be disappointed if they wouldn't put romantic options in game or if they put them only on not recruitable NPCs (like in Fable) por if they treat it differently. Don't get me wrong, I realize DA is a fantasy RPG and the main plot is more important that romantic subplots, BUT I really believe that romance adds a lot to the game immersion.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SoniaCarreras In reply to Abadir [2011-01-05 00:52:11 +0000 UTC]

Indeed. But I also think it is what makes the game so different. The romances are so well writen you feel they're saying all those things to you and it's like "wow! I feel good!" (insert James Brown music here ). Oh, well. The story is good, and that's why I also liked Awakening. But with romance it is just much better....
