I realised that from the comment on the Snow Queen, I think I may have a print on canvas of this piece that I could send, I would send it unmounted because you can garuntee if I frame it up the frame or glass will get damaged.

I suppose that depends on what you normaly pay for markers, I usually payabout Β£6 for the indvidually but normaly I buy them in sets to help keep the price down. Then they usualy work out to about Β£3 each.

Pants, is that some sort of substitute for a kilt, kilt's much better you get a good healthy breeze. I prefer the all over rub with the good old Woad paste, lovely shade of blue.

yepp, kilt is not bad... but what is woad paste? never heard of it???
btw. do you know kogarth of barbaria?

Abigtreehugger In reply to feldrand [2013-01-14 21:52:15 +0000 UTC]
Woad is a plant used medicinaly by the Celts, rubbing the paste onto thier skin helped inhibit blood flow when they were cut in battle. However the Woad paste they put on their skin also left their skin coloured blue. They used to do patterns all over their skin with woad before they went into battle.
korgoth of barbaria, it was to be an American animation about a barbarian [link]

I think its a style that suits drawing Barbarians if you don't want to go into do anotomicaly correct figures, which can be a pain anyway and wouldn't work for doing an animation anyway. I did see mention of of an animation of Korgoth.

It is not called Heavy Metal because of the music, it is called Heavy Metal because the six stories in the film are from the Magazine called Heavy Metal. It was a very popular magazine when I was in my teens and twenty's.

I think I mainly got it because some of my favourite artists were in it like Frank Frazetta and Roger Dean. I think but not 100% sure that Giger had work published in it early in his carrer.
