I can hear everyone shrieking at the sight of this because it means I've created yet another 9 fan-character, when I already have way too freaking many. He actually marks.. number 35. Which I find extremely ironic because what number do you get when you multiply the numbers 5 and 7?! Derp.

You know, I don't know why I didn't make this guy sooner, or with the rest of these kids I designed for canon pairs , considering the pairing that involves his parents was one of the first I liked in the 9 fandom.

This is Cael, as a kid. If you haven't guessed already, he is the offspring of 5 and 7. That makes.. three different pairings I like that involve 7, and this is the first that only has one child. And much like the 1x7 kids and the 9x7 kids not existing in the same universe, this guy does not exist in either universe that the 1x7 and 9x7 kids inhabit. He also does not exist in the same universe that Bonnie does. However, he may interact with Virgil.

Cael's design was a little tough. Well, as far as deciding on colors went. I feel like I kinda failed as far as incorporating qualities from both parents to the point that you can tell their identities without having to be told directly. I had three other possible color schemes going on, which involved a combination of the burlap and cotton being reversed and the buttons being a gold color instead of greyish-blue. I eventually decided on this, because he looked less like a slightly modified Alan this way. Though he looks a bit like a male Julie this way. I guess that's what happens when the only real visual difference between 5 and 9's original designs are the buttons vs. the zipper on the front. The patch on Cael's head and back back aren't scars at all, but rather homages of sorts to 5's eye-patch and 7's patch over her number. If they were scars, they'd likely be different fabric and have different-colored stitching holding them in place. And that wrap around his leg is just there for show. There aren't any injuries he's hiding under it. Or are there...?

As far as personality goes, Cael is like a lot like his dad, but not nearly as timid and nervous. He's very calm and level-headed, and it takes a lot to work him up. Though if you do get through he can be just as bad as 7, jumping at your throat with the nearest object that could be a potential weapon. Anyways. He loves tinkering with things, and has a habit of saving anything that could possibly be used in a future project. As a result he's a notorious pack-rat. He had to move his workspace from 2 and 5's workshop to his own area because he was seriously cluttering up the place with all the junk he would find and the partly-finished projects he'd "set aside" in order to start a new one. 5 actually couldn't bring himself to tell his son that he needed to move somewhere else, because his clutter was becoming a hazard, and after many failed attempts to break it to Cael, he finally had 7 do it.

Also pictured here is Cael's pocket-knife. It can be used as a weapon and a tool, so it's a favorite object of his and he drags it around every chance he gets. It's become a weird security item to him, in addition to its practical uses.
