Description I think roses are quite a pretty flower, but I don't often get the urge to photograph them. However, this pink rose that my mother has growing in a pot looked so exquisite covered in dewdrops that I couldn't resist.

Thank you. I certainly will tell her. This rose is not happy in the pot, so it will be moved to the garden when Jim has time.

We have roses... I don't know much about them, but they starts as a dark pink bud and turn into a white flower...Natasha loves the petals thats all she cares about This one is a very pretty pink color, I can see why its her favorite Lets just say I'd rather it in my favs than to actually have to care for it.... some of them are quite persnickity

I'm not really a rose person, I much prefer the Australian native plants. My Mum isn't well at the moment so I had to prune her roses yesterday and I just hated getting stabbed by those thorns.

I hope she's doing much better now What exactly are austrailian native plants like? I had two thorn bushes... I liked them... but thats because I could squeeze through them... dad couldn't ... they succumbed to the stupid construction people....we do have a rose bush that crawls along our side of our house... it never really finds good places to lock down so it whips vistors on mildly windy days

There are far too many Australian native plants to name, but I have several scattered around in my gallery and will be adding more soon. Here are links to a couple . [link] [link] and we have many wild orchids [link]

And thank you, my Mum has been a lot better this week.

Yes, thats true... I have seen a program that lists Australia as the place with the most poisionious creatures on it in the whole world... I imagine people are very used to it all though....I looked at all these pics a while ago, and I do believe I commented on them... after the fourth I took a break from messages and now I have 144 devs awaiting me....bah
Well I'm glad about your mother, she has some seriously beautiful roses

Oh if I had known that Australia was the place with the most poisionious creatures on it in the whole world, I wouldn't have come to live here

Hee hee....I only creeped out when I saw the water spider that was really poisionous.... that really freaked me out... me and spiders keep away from each other...I'll release them outside, but I don't get friendly with them....the most poisionus critter I think is called the blue ringed octopus, it's only four inches at most.....so If you dont go wading or run into any spidies you'll be safe.... *remembers your pic with all the spider webs....*ooops...
