Thank you! And yea, that whole mind palace scene was genius. And I also loved the shezza scene at the beginning of the episode. And the Mary revelation scene. And when Sherlock shot Magnussen. Oh who am I kidding, that whole episode is my fave of season 3

Yeah. His Last Vow is my second favourite episode of Sherlock. (after The Reichenbach Fall of course). I really like the music used.

A Scandal in Belgravia, The Reichenbach Fall and His Last Vow are a tie in my favorite list. To be honest, I've only started watching Sherlock this year, and I'm severely addicted to it now. I honestly don't understand how the fans managed to survive the 2 year long hiatus after season 1 and 2. HOW?! I'm dying over here...

I know right? For me, I like Doctor Who (obviously) and people kept coming up to me and were like "Hey! You should watch Sherlock, you'd really like it." but I kept putting it off in case I became crazy about it and started making everything Wholock. After the 50th anniversary of DW I say the trailer of Sherlock S3 and decided to watch it. Lucky I didn't get driven mad from the wait after the Reichenbach Fall. Though now I think I'll go mad waiting for Season 4..... "Did you miss me?"

yeah, moftiss are cold-blooded evil making fans wait 2 years with a cliffhanger like The Reichenbach Fall (thank god I didn't have to wait either lol). With the "did you miss me?" cliffhanger, I kinda assumed that Moriarty is really dead from the reichenbach fall, but maybe he had some kind of last ditch evil plan that can still be carried out by his henchmen or something, even after he's dead. Idk haha. For me, I haven't watched DW, but knowing that its moffat and gatiss as well who made it, I assume it's just as great but the thing that's holding me back is the premise of DW. Like, I tried wiki-ing it, and I still don't understand what the show is about. Mind enlightening me?

Well, basically it's about an alien, The Doctor. He comes from the planet Gallifrey and is a Time Lord. He goes travelling through time and space and normally has someone travelling with him. His time machine is called a TARDIS, on the outside it looks like a police box but that's because it's a cloaking device. When he travelled to the 1960s the cloaking device broke and it stayed as a police box. (and yes it is bigger on the inside, but that's because the inside is a different dimension.) Though now he is the last of the time lords because there was a big war. (post 2005, 9th Doctor). He still goes travelling though and goes to save planets, fights monsters and gets in to trouble (normally be accident). You're probably like "But isn't there a whole bunch of Doctors?" that's because the Doctor (who is a time lord) can regenerate. When his body gets so beaten up or worn down, instead of dying, he regenerates. When he regenerates his entire physical form changes and so does his personality and likes/dislikes. Though he still goes wandering about time and space and stuff.

which serial should I start with? Which doctor was your fave?

The first episode I watched was Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead (2 parter) in series 4 (with the 10th Doctor), but I suggest starting with the 9th Doctor. Series 1 Episode 1: Rose. (between 8 and 9 there was a long gap). My favourite doctor was 10, but that's likely because I started with him first. Basically you just go from 2005 - present episodes and if you're done that, you can go back and watch some classic episodes. Some of the classics are good (I really like City of Death and the Five Doctors) but some can be very odd and boring too.
