I'm pretty sure this is an illustration I did for some Illustration Friday topic... But it was ages ago! Weird I haven't posted it here before.Have you heard of an idea that bunnies come from the moon? I thin it's a Japanese idea or something like that...

I'm not sure I've ever heard stories about bunnies coming from the moon, but stories of a rabbit on the moon are popular in East Asian countries. Some of the stories suggest that the shadows on the moon's surface resemble a rabbit doing this . But the story I grew up hearing was about Chang E , whose companion is a rabbit. In America, people see a man in the moon. It makes me wonder what other countries' stories are.

when I was in Japan I was told that there's a rabbit on the moon making mochi (japanese ricecake)..
