Ever since I watched the Princess Bride I had a thing for Farm Girl/Peasant type characters.. and Malon was it. A cute redheaded girl living in the middle of no where with nothing but her father and his weird friend to talk to. She's my favorite character from Ocarina of Time.. though I like all the others just fine too! I wanted to draw her sort of napping in the afternoon sun. I'm not that great at coloring but eh.. I think I kinda got my point across..Please let me know if you have some CG/photoshop tips you can give me to better improve the color work on this picture cuz they're very welcome!

I've always loved this fanart of Malon, and what's more, I have always seen a parallel between Link and Malon and Wesley and Buttercup. What can I say? I have a fondness for said type as well. :]

Same thing goes for me with Malon being my favorite character from the N64 games. Not that I hate any of the other girls it's just for me Malon came across as having a more lively personality than anyone else in the all too brief time you have with her.
I love that you had her take her scarf off and the little sweat drops are a nice touch.
Question, are the shadows from a shady tree or clouds passing over head?

I've seen this before. The expression and action of the picture inspired an element of one of my own creative projects (Link is involved more, since it's an action adventure deal). Malon would be the lady Link is trying to save, in that case. 'Cause her mind is fried, living out a perpetual nightmare. Link finds her out in the field, like that.
Isn't it nice to know your picture inspired all that? By the way, I believe I've seen this in another internet site among some Legend of Zelda fan art. That's where I first found it (and incorporated its inspiration then).
It's always the really good ones that garner the best attention. Remember that.

This is my second favorite piece of yours. The shading is wonderful. My suggestion is going through with the highlighting tool and highlight a bit where the light is shining through the trees. Since light is being focused more to a point or center, it would be a little bit brighter.

Hehehe, I've always LOVED this one. I absolutely love her skirt. I have a huge fetish for long, beautiful, flowy skirts and the like. The tree shading is nicely done, too. But the skirt .... = ^______^.
