I've been off DA for over a month...what have I been missing? I got a DD?

When promo shots of the Reeds first appeared I just kind of "...oh. How wrong was I..."

I was disappointed... They look more like homeless ppl on the show, than actual son and daughter of a nobleman. I was expecting a more mystical/"elflike" feeling from them, but they just seem to be runaway kids. (though that kinda makes sense if you are hiding from the enemy... even so... Osha gets to wear slightly better clothes and be more majestic xD)
Also, as I was reading the book, I thought they were more optimistic and cheerful to counter Bran's deep negative feelings, but whatever :/ Maybe HBO should have asked for concept arts regarding the reeds.
