I would say that this image could benefit from a bit levels7curve, but allready, this is a stunning shot. I have to get up earlier in the morning.

No doubt it could use some "post" to make it really stand out... but I'm trying to purify my process a bit, start anew. Thanks for the comment, Markus.

Whats so bad about post processing?

Nothing is "bad" about it. I just feel that so much can be achieved in post, it changes the process of making the image. If I wanted to be a retoucher, or create my images in post, I'd use a 3d program.
I feel that I've been paying to much attention on creating effects, rather than on the moment, and thus, for me, it is important to focus my attention again on the pre-visualized process of photography, rather than the post-visualized process.

Well, you can also limit yourself to the basic things like in the darkroom, levels, dodge and burn. All stuff you could do in a traditional darkroom.
I'm also against heavy retouhing, I shoot raw and just use the raw developing for the photo, nothing more.

True. Still, there's something alluring about Weston's contact prints, or any contact print for that matter. It limits you to a few tools, barely more than your mind, and that's sort of enchanting. I guess it's a bit like the difference between a poem and a movie.

These are real nice. Really intense colours. I'm interested in what you can do with spring and such. I'm sort of tired of this kind of scene because this is all I've shot in the past several months, and the weather here is most unpleasant.

Could the colour range of this be any more wonderful? Are those grasses or rushes that are backlit? Whatever - they add a nice touch. This feels so good. We get to enjoy it without getting wet feet too.

Thank you. Everything was backlit, it was a fortunate confluence of clouds and light to make an exposure possible.
