: *sleeping on her Dad's back*: *flies over to his wife* Melody? Are you ok? You've been depressed all day.
: It's nothing...
: It's not nothing. I know you better then that. Tell me what's wrong.
: ...Not in front of Joy...
: Honey she's exhausted from playing all day. She won't wake up. So please...tell me what's wrong.
: ...While watching her play today...I started thinking about how lucky we are to have her...considering how hard our lives have been since we first met...and I started to think about how much happiness she'll bring into our lives as we raise her...but...but then I realized...that she's not a legendary Pokemon...
: So?
: So...we're going to outlive her...
: What?
: Jet you know as well as I do that Legendary Pokemon live for centuries...but normal Pokemon don't live for nearly that long...they're lucky if they live to be near 70...so she's going to age so quickly...and we'll have barely changed...and...and then one day...we'll have to bury her...
: Melody...
: *starts to cry* Parents are never supposed to bury their children...but we'll outlive her by hundreds of years...and I don't want to live all those years without her! *bursts into tears*

Hmm...I wonder, I mean, how are legendaries born? Seems it was never explained in the show, seeming there was a adult Lugia and a baby lugia, also, how do they get born? Are they born from a special crystal that brings them into existence? Do they breed like a normal animal?! Or are they just secret experiments made by the same sorta people who made Mewtwo?!?!?!

It's sort of stated. I mean almost all the Legendary Pokemon descriptions mention them being ancient or around for thousands of years or something like that. So I've concluded that Legendaries must live longer lifespans than non Legendary Pokemon. I think that's part of what puts them into legends and myths.

Yeah I did for the first time a while ago too. And it just adds another layer onto their characters. A sad one of course, but good characters have lots of things factoring into how they behave.
