Description Not half bad for something drawn completely from my head.
Those countless hours of staring at movies, old photographs, and museum specimens have really paid off.

Yeah, since third grade when I found some "extinct animal flash cards" in my classroom.

I called them tiger puppies at that point, but whatever. The illustration was cartoon style, and more of a striped doberman build.

Yeah, I found them in an old book saying they were β€œendangered.” Ha, I was so upset when I found out their current status.

that's excellent, especially considering you drew it all from memory. Even though thylacines have some convergent features with placental canines i think a lot of thylacine art actually makes them look TOO doglike, as if the artist just drew a wolf or fox and stuck some stripes on it. this really captures the uniqueness of the thylacine's appearence.
