So I was on one of those quests to find the meaning of my name... And evidently came across this. I cannot begin to explain the feels :')

Ouch... yeah, I can sympathise with you there. I almost wish I didn't give up my roots for traditional art, because ever since I went pure digital I somehow forgot how to use a mere standard lead pencil on paper. So anything I sketch with it turns out pretty horrible and forces me to rely on the forgiving nature of working on a computer...

Well, the main reason why I've chosen the tablet over more traditional methods is that it gives me more control over my lineart. Like when I make a mistake, all I had to do is click the undo button. So I think it is having that extra security over how things come to light, and the definite options of manipulating what I've drawn in a variety of ways, that keep me loyal to digital art.

I know exactly what you mean! I think I'm abusing the undo button. Anytime I just do something slightly wrong (something I can normally just remove with the eraser, like some colour out of the lines) I just press CTRL + Z, which I constantly have my fingers on. I still like drawing digitally, but it's still too bad.
You're so right, though. Before I could draw digitally, everyone had Photoshop and had incredible skill. I just called it cheating, though. I think I didn't really understand, it does take skill to draw well even digitally. But yeah, the undo thing bugged me.

lol, I think for the most part the main reason I used the undo button was either because my hands shook too much or my old comp couldn't process the tablet pen's strokes precisely enough, which made me resort to using smaller resolutions-- something I still haven't been able to train myself out of yet. I'm just so used to making details in small areas, drawing anything big tends to be a bit overwhelming for me.

My hand usually shakes a lot, but I can control it pretty well on paper. Using a tablet was extremely difficult at first, but I think I've learned how to control it better now. My lineart is still shaky though, until I polish it.

Makes sense, and I know where you're coming from. I'm learning to be a bit more rough around the edges with my works, though. Come to the realisation that it adds character, instead of making everything look precise like I used to.
