yeah coloring takes...awhile to get around and learn all the techniques. If you have really high quality colored pencils when layered they create a glossy finish so it looks all smooth which is cool~
no time like the present to start trying though! you could start maybe with some light pastel colors and do a barely colored pic maybe.
