this... took... FOREVER!!!!!!!so i'm submitting the lineart here. i spent all day on this god forsaken thing.
first KH fanart i've shared, though... and first one where the lineart can really stand alone. so, i thought i'd share. hopefully i'll get this painted. dunno. lots of work.
also the first time i've ever even sketched roxas or axel.
did i mention that the KH characters are a wee bit hard to adapt into my style? just fyi.

kinda detailed... and... it's 3000 x 3200. i don't usually work larger than 2000 x 2000, so... yeah. haha.
i'm glad you like it, though! it's not quite halfway painted, too. definitely need to finish this.

i couldn't draw the KH characters the way they look in the game for anything. the big hands and GINORMOUS feet, the bigger eyes... sora and roxas kinda has this round tummy thing...
YYYEEEEEAAAHHHH, can't do that. haha. hopefully they're all perfectly recognizable in my own style.

haven't played the game but they look spooky the way you describe them. And I'd say they're pretty recognizable in your stile. As far as I can tell, I've only seen pictures of them

haha, they're not spooky. they're just sorta... kiddish looking. axel's not, and riku's not so much, but roxas and sora are definitely rather young looking.
i guess it's to fit in with the disney characters that are in kingdom hearts, too.
but this game is sooooooo slashable, i couldn't resist!

oh, they totally work in it. i didn't like the disney thing at first, but it works.
otherwise KH could have ended up a rather dark game...
