Description
One of my submissions for my first Digital Photography assignments.A metallic-glazed ceramic bowel, on some sari fabric.

Good use of color. Bouncing the flash, or some form of flash diffusion would have eliminated the glare and allowed more of the texture to show in the bowl. Shallow depth of field can be used to eliminate background distractions in many cases. However for this picture I think closing down the aperture for a wider DOF would have served you better. Thee repeating patterns in the table cloth could have added depth and interest to the image. Thanks for sharing your talent on

The first thing I think when I look at this is that maybe I've fallen into a morrocan palace...
The gold/yellow hues add a type of fantastic elegance, a splash of whimsy and possibly a hint of a decadent atmosphere.
I don't think the use of an overly ornate patterned cloth would have been a great idea to use...but maybe if the flash weren't so bright against the bowl and the reflection weren't so..noticeable? It wouldn't be so...Off kilter.
Other than that, I really like the overall affect of grandure.

I love the composition of this piece, but I feel like it's a little too overwhelmingly yellow. Also, maybe find a way to soften the flash used so it's not so bright and harsh on the bowl.

it's beautiful. the only possible thing i don't like is the reflexion getting completly white in the center, but i'm not any expert so you maybe wouldn't mind that. heh.

Indeed, the choice of enviroment is great! Good analogic color scheme is always hard to find, expecially in real life. Really warm, and the focus shows some of the pattern on the fabric, thanks to what our eyes have something to stop at and really appreciate the whole photo.

I like how the colours complement each other and how you've positioned it to make the composition greater and the piece more balanced too.
The depth of field is interesting... I'm not too sure about the lighting or the point of view, but I feel it's a great shot regardless.
