I adore this elegant gown. I hope you dont mind me using this in one of my paintings. its such a lovely color. I have come to nickname this gown"Le Sorbet rouge" Its so lovely and is like a breath of sweet honysuckle scented air. its so delicate and light looking. Brava Madame as always.

Im going to do a portrait of My Great grandmother"younger days" sitting with a little papillion dog. its such a fresh sweet gown. its color makes me think of sorbet or sweet pea flowers.

... This dress is SO my style. <3
In the words of MeatPies, it's very lovely! I love the color (pink is my favorite color. xD ). The gold lace is very nice, and I really like the bodice. The bow is a very cute touch! Did you make your own pattern for this?

Thank you! No I used JP Ryan's 18th century gown pattern. It was pretty straight forward and easy to follow. I have always wanted to try the back pleats, and I have to say they are fun to wear and great to watch them flow out behind someone!

Thank you so much... Yes they take so much time. I am happy to have school ending so I can focus on sewing too instead of prodding my kids in and out of bed and running them everywhere!
