Description Well here is my latest project. It is in the final stages, I have lots of trimming to do and a hat to make, but it is almost there. It is made of a faux silk that has tone on tone stripes in pink and salmon so I call it the sherbet dress.

This was my first attempt at the back pleats, and they were probably the easiest part of the dress. What I find harder is the front finishing with the wacky robing that the stomacher pins into. It looks fine, I am just pin resistant.

Thank you! I used J.P. Ryan's Plet en'aire A La Francaise. The instructions are good but there were question marks in my eyes at times. It was a fun learning experience.

I love all the frills. Do you always make dresses as a commission or do you also make them just as a hobby?

Thank you! Well, I just kind of make them and sometimes send them out into the world for others to take over.
I might sell this one when it's done, but want to work on my Dickens Fair dress for awhile.
