Description Gerogory Peck, one of those noble actors in the 40s and 50s. I watched "Roman Holiday" and thought he had an interesting face, so I found this picture, and drew him. Trust me to find a picture with that coat!

Oh my gosh!

HOW do you do this? I mean how do you make everyone look exactly like they should?
This is amazing!

Well... a lot of practice, a lot of perseverance, and a lot of patience, I think. You also have to get good at working out exactly what it is that makes each person different from another, and capturing that on paper. And then it's just a matter of refining your skills forever (I don't think that ever stops). This is quite an old picture ... good heavens, 6 years! wow! .... and you can see how practice payed off in later pieces.
Thanks for the I'm glad you liked it!

A lot of it is just practice - I look back on this picture, which I did several years ago, and it doesn't look so good. There's talent involved somewhere, I suppose, but it is mostly practice, so, if you want to get there, I'm sure you will! I'm glad you like this, thankyou!

If you want Gregory Peck from his stunningly gorgeous period -- Spellbound is the movie for you! Roman Holiday is a great film, but he is kind of old.

I've got Spellbound, and I've done another picture, which was from, as far as I can tell, a publicity shot for Spellbound or Gentleman's agreement. It's in my gallery somewhere

Ooo! Now I must seek it out, because he was gorgeous in that movie!

I could comment on everything in your gallery, and it'd all sound the same...fantastic! I love Peck's work though, so I'll leave this comment on his likeness. Keep up the great work, I'll be watching for more.

Thanks so much!
And at least you know who he is: I was drawing this at school, accompanied by comments along the lines of" "who's he?", "why are you drawing him" and "but...like, he's dead."

Sometimes it's hard to find appreciators of past actors...despite their fine credentials. I notice you don't have a "Jimmy Stewart" posted, have you ever tried him? After seeing your work on the other actors, I'm inspired to try my own hand at ol' Jimmy.

No, I don't have a Jimmy Stewart, although that is am omission that will soon be remedied. I just have some trouble finding a picture that I like- The difficulty is that I didn't like him when he was really young, and by the time you get to films like "Vertigo" he reminds me uncannily of my grandfather, which gives me the creeps somewhat- but one day I will do him, I have a feeling he would be fun to do!
Thanks for the btw, it is greatly appreciated.

Looks incredible! The shading is fantastic, it looks very realistic. I don't know if I'd have the patience to do the work on the coat...it'd probably end up being a solid colored one by the time I was done. :^)
