Here is something I have been working on for a pretty long time. School and work got in the way of me working on this, but I think I started this a little before Thanksgiving. I uploaded a test of an earlier version of this before Thanksgiving just to see what people thought of the style and it was generally well received so I decided to just push on through with it.

So here they are: The Digidestined from Digimon Adventure 01. From left to right, T.K., Kari, Sora, Matt, Izzy, Tai, Joe, and Mimi.. drawn in my own personal style. This would be the group AFTER the events of Adventure 02. They are all a little bit older, maybe in the early 20s with T.K. and Kari in their late teens. I'll just do a quick description of what I did with each character:

Tai - I wanted to keep his look consistent with the rest of the series. He doesn't have his goggles anymore because they're obviously on Davis' head.

Matt - He was tricky. I wanted Matt to be kind of.. modern. Out of everyone in the group, I feel like he would be the most well dressed. The series always made Matt the "cool" one. He was in a band, he grew up to be an astronaut, he got girls and the girl. I also added on a wedding band on his hand because at this point in the series, he and Sora are married.

Sora - I wanted to draw her in a summer dress, but that kind of failed haha. I couldn't stand to draw orange, white, and blue flower prints on her dress so I just made it a solid yellow color. I tweaked her hairstyle just a little bit and added on a charm bracelet with her and Matt's crests attached.

Izzy - He's always thinking, which is why he's in that thinking mode pose. Kept his shirts consistent with what he wears in the series, and tried really hard to make his hair right, though it's probably my least favorite part of this drawing.

Mimi - She always wears her hat right? This was my first time drawing a hat on this angle and now that I look at it.. it looks more like a fedora than a cowgirl hat, but whatever. I figured Mimi is the type who would barely wear anything and would show off her body as much as possible. Kept her in pink because that's obviously her favorite color. Gave her ripped jean shorts because I figure that's the kind of style she'd go for at this point in her life.

Joe - What can I say about Joe? I dressed him as nerdy as possble. Not even because I personally think he looks good, but he has a sweatervest on and is in a gray/blue theme. Kept his signature glasses because they rock, and tried to keep his hair consistent with the series, though you can't see much. I gave him a red tie just so because the shades of blue and gray were getting to bleh.

T.K. - I drew him as a young Matt. It was a little tricky to draw T.K. without any hat, but I think I pulled it off nicely. He's wearing his colors and looks pretty young so it worked out nice.

Kari - I drew her after seeing a girl in my class dressed the same way. Kari is in her late teens which means she is definitely trying to show off her body without showing as much skin as Mimi, so she's wearing a very fitted tank with some yellow short shorts. I gave her long hair because she looked way to similar to Sora. I gave Kari her mother's hairstyle.
