Description Based on one of the scene from 'Sisterhooves Social'.

Scene setting: I couldn't really think of anything other then 'Goodbye to the old and accept how things will change'.

Hours: To long

First none portrait, so don't judge me on the shapes or bad lighting. The hair isn't to great, something that needs working on.

hmm.

This looks lovely as for the vision that you where going for!

Things I like about it would be:

- How the rain is coming down on an angle is perfect! The rain drops are also very well done.

- The horses makeup is smudging off due to the fact that it is down pouring.

- The clouds in the sky are very well done!

Things to work on:

The hair
- Try to find your own style for painting realistic hair for ponies e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/> Their are many tutorials on deviantart for this. Take a browse. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>

Grounding
- The horse should not just have little tiny grass on its hooves. It should have a lot more or even none with you adding the shadow.

Other than that, keep working to make amazingly awesome art!

-Danielle

Rain coming off the horse
- Try to paint rain coming off the horse, like you did by the tail in the back. It would bring it to life more! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="367" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Thank you, not sure how the rain came out like this, I did some research, but I think it was just pot luck. Hehe!

The hair deferentially needs improvement, like you say finding a style that I can stick to would be awesome!

About the grass, it was the last thing I did and yeah, I'd rather not go into that story. Haha!

Thank you very much for your feedback. I'm getting more then I expected which is awesome!

Have a nice day! c:

Vision: Really nice colours chosen so the character can be easy to recognize.
The mark on the rear isn't really visible causing it to not be seen at first sight unless looked at very closely. I recommend trying to make it stand out even more e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=" (Smile)"/>
I love how you did the rain, it is really nice.

Originality: Character hasn't been created from you, but the pose is really well done.

Technique: I recommend that you include more variety of line weight (Size of lines) to make it stand out even more.

Impact: Background suits the pony's expression and you really captured the scene perfectly.

Well done!

Thank you very much. c:

Yeah it's not super amazing, I'm not keen on constantly improving one picture, I'd rather just go through ideas and see what I've improved on. Originality, yeah I know what you mean, I'm no good with 'original' ideas, I just get what's in my head onto the computer even though the idea has been run into the ground.

Technique, I'll look into it. Yeah it's a bit shabby in places. :') I spent like 3 hours just trying to get the lighting how it is now.

Many more video tutorials and practice session await me yet. :3 ... And me sitting in my room listing to music to spur me on. I did nearly give up on this but a friend gave me some support and I made it through. :')

Thanks for the feedback!
