I always thought that clouds and sheep look somewhat similar and I had this idea in mind for the past years. I finally shot it a sunny afternoon in Sweden with a ramp, fake clouds the sheep shot the day after. Made with home built tools and shot in mainly natural light.ΒI would love to hear your thoughts. What comes to your mind when you see it? What do you think is going on here?

Hmm I can only say this is pretty awesome. The lighting is spot on. Little cloud sign on the fence like an Easter Egg. If anything the black sheep looks like it is smoking rather than clouding. I love the whimsical qualities of your work.

Hey, yes i agree withΒ RammyVFX Β to some extent, partly because i am imagining the sheep running up the ramp to make the clouds, but they will not. Dreams though as you say, are not bound by logical expectation in the same way, and realising dreams is a fascinating way of using photography and Photoshop

To me it's that the white sheep is for regular clouds, and the black sheep is more of a thundery storm-sheep. Which makes this farmer some sort of weather-shaman?

I'm a fan of your work, but this one in particular doesn't make much sense to me, everything in it looks great and like it belongs, but I don't get the message, are the clouds falling from the sky into the ramp or are the clouds from the sheep going up the ramp? if so what's pushing them? and if something is pushing them up, why are there pieces of clouds on the sides? why is there a black sheep there with what looks like smoke coming off of it? when I look at this picture I get more questions than realizations, not to shit on it just to give you some criticism since you have a lot of followers who just say "I love it" and don't give any actual useful feedback and me as a photo manipulator myself know how much feedback can help bring a piece together.

I know it's a bit more diffuse and I appreciate your feedback, I have some more clear ones coming up for the next ones I will publish. It's just that some ideas need to be realized even if they don't have as clear message, some ideas are more like dreams and it doesn't really always make as much sense in that way. Sometimes it's just about creating a scene, a place and I think it can be interpreted in many different ways.

I love the concept as a whole. Adding the cloud recently exiting the ramp at the end is a great visual queue to help the audience capture what is "happening" and the Black sheep is a clever way to indicate rain clouds are possible. Metaphorically, I love the notion this is an artists shaping his ideas, his creativity, and letting them be seen by the world and, much like the clouds, left to their own interpretations of what they are to them. Love your work, glad to see you still at it! <3

I really like this whimsical piece. It has a magical and a playful feel at the same time.
For me, what comes to mind is a story of how clouds are formed. There is a care-taker who regularly clips his immortal cloud producing sheep to make either white clouds or rain clouds.
