It didn't seem fair to just do one side of Lee Jun Ki - and the guy has soooo many sides. The first time I sketched his portrait he was just a pretty face in a magazine.. didn't find out until later that he was a guy. And that was that for a long time.

When I started to redoing my old works, I thought, 'hey I've never even seen the movie .. and I did. 'The King and the Clown' was simple enough story, but very well told. The acting was good all round, and LJK's acting as a gentle soul in with a beautiful face was startling in all the subtle complexity. Which got me curious to how his other roles were. I saw Iljimae next, in which he was okay, he does serious parts way better that the comics ones (sometimes a bit over to me.. but as the tone seems to be the carried by the other characters.. I assumed its the part of the story narative style.. and I wondered about the excellent martial arts scenes...

Then I saw 'Time between Dog and Wolf'.

If you ever doubted that LJK's masculinity, and acting ability this is one to see..

Incidentally, because of this I also found out that he's a 3rd grade black belt in Taekwando, Ist grade in Hapkido, and Taekyeon.. He's got one of the most beautiful turning kick, and back kick outside of the tournament ring that I've seen [link]
