Yes! That would be fun. But instead of doing any housekeeping he might end up playing with my guitars or the electronic drums.
I miss the more serious roles. I love The Libertine. It doesn't need to be THAT serious all the time, but as you said recently it was a lot of fun stuff. At least The Rum Diary had an interesting serious layer underneath.

Me too. It was the first thing I saw when I turned my phone back on this morning. In one way or the other I was already expeting something like that. I felt that something had changed when I looked at Johnny in the last few month. His new found end more than usual expressed love for the music for example. He always looked on one hand relaxed and he seemed to enjoy making music, but on the other hand there was some sadness in his eyes I couldn't place. I wouldn't be surprised when he realized that something in his life was amiss in the last few years. I never really understood how they handled their relationship and the family life with both parents working the way they did. At least one of them was always filming somewhere. I myself had a long distance relationship for several years and I know how complicated this is. It's sad that it didn't work out for them. I have the feeling that they already separated a while ago and waited for the right moment to announce it officially. I know many families where the parents at one point separated and found new partners and the kids are fine. It's all a matter how the parents handle it. I trust Johnny and Vanessa. They always cared so much about their kids so that I'm sure they will still put them first whatever they do.
Honestly if there wouldn't be the photos of Johnny looking relaxed and enjoying making music I would have been more worried about him. The family gave him a stability that before he never had.
I hope the public will leave them alone now that it is officially announced.

yes indeed I can accept this fact because of what had happened these months. and you are right it's better to see him not being a "wino " again.
And I believe that they made this decision for both their better tomorrow. we still love them.

This day is surreal. I woke up with the separation news and later that day my boss announced some fundamental changes in our company. If I'd be drinking alcohol this would be the day for a drink. Or two. Johnny was btw on all the recent pics seen drinking an alcohol-free German beer.

all his roles are serious in different ways, because he wouldnt be a serious actor if he turned down all the fun roles that he enjoys doing, the libertine is very good, and very awkward watching with your dad and step mum

Oh boy, watching The Libertine with my parents? No way. I once watched it with a friend and had to translate the whole movie because she doesn't speak English. That was ...um...an interesting experience!

lol, can you imagine translating, the begining prologue, i watched it with my friend and her mum asked if she can come watch it and we were like.. ermm i dunno lemme think bout that.. NOT A CHANCE, its great though cause i had a drinking problem watching that and it kinda helped me through it a lot, so it kinda means a lot to me aswell, cause i knew if i carried on drinking like i did, i would end up like that, which i didnt want. x

LOL! When I watched the prologue for the first time with every word I thought "Where the hell is this going? He's saying something like that and doesn't even have to blink once???" When I had to translate it it was a bit complicated because I had to find some equally ancient German expressions. To use a more modern vocabulary would indeed have turned it into a porno!

i love the prologue, i have made it in a scroll in calligraphy, cause i love doing that kinda stuff, and its at my dadas at the moment i need to get it so i can put a pic up xx

As much as I love the movie, it's very hard for me to paint a half decent Rochester. I've made several attempts already. Two of them are in my gallery but I'm still not happy with them. It's almost impossible to find a good reference photo and using screencaps is no option because the movie is so dark that most of the time you can not see enough details.

i think the ones in your gallery are brilliant, i just fint painting difficult alltogether, the only thing ive ever painted is making a death eater mask and titanic, but its a load of swirls and a boat so it cant be that difficult,, try drawing john wilmot in pencil in black and white, the picture where he is sat in the chair on stage or the picture of him with the monkey and a scroll x

I was already thinking about doing something close to the classic painting of the Earl that the painter is doing in the movie.
A black and white one could also be a good idea!
