Otherwise known as: "Hopeless attempt at painting 3.0 except this time it has better results"

So I tried painting again but this time it doesn't look like utter crap. I tried going for less saturation and contrast than I usually do to give a more natural feel and I think it really turned out good. I'm proud with the colouring on this one, and the subtlety of it. Usually my art is the kind to smack you in the face with colour and stuff, but I think I captured a pretty organic look with this. The real thing that bugs me is the detailing. From far away this looks awesome but there's just so many dumb imperfections that are irking me that I'm too lazy to go back and fix, but whatever. I think this was good practice and I FINALLY got down painting fur. I looked at some tutorials which really helped me. Fur is seriously so hard to paint. This is why I stick to dragons.

The process for this was so unique, because I did most of the basic stuff in photoshop, and used sai for details, which was interesting because usually it's the other way around.

I think I've drawn Aeirluz more than I have any other of my new OCs. I seriously love him so much.

Also, because this is painting practice, I'd love to see critiques!
