Gotta love pokemon. YOU GOTTA!!!
Bulbasaur was always my favourite. Not in game, his sprite was an ugly arrangement of pixels, but in the tv series showing his personality, thats what won me over. And his voice. Just found it funny.
So I randomly drew me a bulbasaur. I tried to get the anime look, but I didnt like it, so instead changed to face to a more silly cartoon style...and you know what, I think I prefer him this way.

haha tell me about it man. The cartoon and other surrounding stuff when it first came out probably dragged me more into these characters, but they just seemed to have more personality, while everything else seems like a lifeless shell.
i would love to see a pokemon game aimed at 20-30s, more grown up trainers who act like us in a more real world. It will never happen, but would love it. ^_^

I personally preferred Charizard but Bulbasaur was good value for money too.

Charizard was an ace pokemon to have in your squad, a real powerhouse. At lvl 100 he could take out everyone in the elite 4 with one move, very awesome.

And to think I only ever got him to level 50 something (still took out all comers with relative ease - he was that hard. I spend weeks just training him against water pokemon!).

haha yeh, i spent weeks training him against just the elite 4. I equipped exp all to him and it went I could level up others and evolve them while he wiped out everyone.

They couldn't have just kept that theme song the whole series, could they? The only way of redeeming themselves after Ash gets that horrible new voice and they can't even do that.
Bulbasaur was my favourite starter in the games. Once you got Vine Whip he could take down anyone!

You know I dont remember all that much. I dont think I watched too much of the newer cartoon series. I remember he tagged along with a guy called Tracey who drew Pokemon, and I stopped watching around that time. I think I remember a change in songs, but I dont remember the actually song, completely forgettable.
The first series was ace, and it was so gutting to see Ash not actually become a pokemon master. Should have evolved that bloody pikachu.

But the Raichus stink! If he evolved it he couldn't teach it any new techniques (Why must I be such a nerd).
But yes, the songs after the first were awful. Tracy was a half-decent character, nothing compared to Brock, but compared to all the other characters that replaced Misty he was a good idea.

I dunno. Pikachu couldn't use iron tail when it was first shown in the games, now it can. The series most likely doesn't even try to follow the game's level system.
