A painting that I have been putting aside for half year =.=Finally get to complete it, but the cloth...lost patient on the details. Haha. Sorry for that

But still I was just painting them according to a photo. It's not like I can paint it from imagination...
But never mind, one day I will make myself good enough to paint anything without even reference or copy from a photo

I actually believe that in not creating equal details in the hair as you have the rest, has given this piece the ability to show the talent you have for "detailed work"..I have a childs portrait in my gallery that I did this on purpose with..haha...so, knowing your extensive talent...I see a graduation in detail and truly can appreciate your efforts in this piece...lovely. You must get in the "zone"...quite often! thanks for sharing..

Wow, thanks for the comment. I didn't realize about "not creating equal details" part like what you mentioned. And...can you explain about the "zone" you mean? =\ I pretty blur about it.
Well, since you the only one who actually comment this way, I wish to ask you about certain things related. Like this piece, I still painting with a photo aside, it's not like I can create arts without references. I do wish that in future I can still painting lots of detailed works, just wonder if there are any jobs related to that one, like freelance while doing the things that I like. Currently I'm studying animation, really after done sketching the char, will be busy modeling and animating, really didn't sketch for long period. Continue like that maybe in future I only able to be animator that focus on animating, not drawing... It might be weird since I asking this way cause I really clueless about the path for myself in future. Come to animation also, the lecturer always said I have tendency to work as animator, but I wish I could involve in arts as well. If about conceptual artist, with my current skill that still needing references, no way I can survive in that area...

well thanks for answering in this way and it seems to me that all of us artists are in quite the abundance and I am thinking you are asking for some guidance, yes?...If so, all i can say is to find a career in the arts in some way or another, but always to pursue your dream..

Well, what kind of original character you plan to create? The friends around me not that much into art and not really sharing art stuff too. Pretty lonely just to do the art alone. If you want, can always share with me

me too. usually after coloring the face, I get bored to color the other part (especially hair, that part sure makes me sick!)

Haha...normally I won't follow the photo exactly, unless I'm lazy to think of anything, just paint what I see. Haha, I always being questioned why I didn't paint my own face. I think the sky will collapse if I paint self =.= if you feel shy, perhaps you got something else you wish to see? Maybe I paint other stuffs for ya when I'm bored

well then, if you get bored, how about...draw a random short-haired girl, with simple background, like...white. actually I don't get what you mean 'simple one'. it should be a random person, animal, plants, environment, I don't know. but I make sure I will comment your picture
