Being the resident 'white witch/ tarot reader' of everyone I know, you have NO idea how many people ask me for love spells...I keep saying, even if it did work....you don't want it to!!!I thought it would be interesting to put it up without explaining it's suppposed to be the naughty kitty conjuring up a spell over his owner(& interestingly, you're the only one to pick up on the creepiness!

OMG -fave- I love this one!! I love the swirling hair mixed in with the roses most of all, and the kinda haunting eyes, and the really lynx looking cat, and the tarot cards (I think they're meant to be?) and her little jewel thing and the bewitching colours and and and...okay okay I just love it xD

There are so many things about this piece I like its hard to find a place to begin
The woman who seems to be rising from the smoke, I love how her hair and the smoke are still practically one in the same.
...and everything that shines and has a glossy surfaces, rocks! The glares are done so well... I love the jewel incrested bug (it reminds me of a scarab beetle
The crown of rose buds and vines twining through her hair with her large innocent eyes gives her that wolf in sheeps clothing appearance

Ooh, that's a really cool take on it, hadn't thought of that!!!It's always interesting to see what stories people see in your art...probably why I love ambiguity!!I was inspired by people asking me for love spells this week(full moon!) & a great short story by Tanith Lee (can't remember title!!)where you think, what is this silly girl doing, letting this guy in at midnight, he's been tomcatting around, he demands food, he's beautiful but ignores her, he hogs all the quilts...& the last line is..."& he begins to purr"..and I just love that change, I went from thinking'stupid girl' to OMG that's me...walked all over by my kitties!!!
