A quick drawing of my current obsession: Moral Orel. I haven't actually SEEN this episode, but I saw this clip, and that's enough for me to draw fanart of it. Orel's just smoked crack here, if anyone's unfamiliar with the show.I also kinda wanna draw Reverend Putty because of his "Do you think God can't see into the future!?" line. It was perfect how they put that line in 'Grounded' because its episode of origin ('Innocence') aired AFTER 'Grounded'. DELICIOUSSSS.

What season are you up to? I was never that fond of Season 1, though without it my FAVORITE EPISODE (Orel's Movie Premiere) would not be nearly as hilarious and epic.

Did they get away with "prick"? =0 I know it's Adult Swim, but I thought that was one of the words they still weren't allowed to say uncensored, like "fuck."
I've seen bits and pieces of every season. I'm pretty sure I've seen all of seasons 2 and 3, but there's a bunch of season 1 episodes I haven't seen, like the one I drew here, oddly enough. XD

I liked season 3 as a whole best, though my favorite episodes were in season 2. Where have you been watching it? I saw a few episodes on the adult swim website, but that was a while back...

It's always weird hearing about ACTUALLY religious schools, because all of mine were pretty clear about how the Bible wasn't true and liked to mix God with Evolution and such... Like it was a REAL school, it just also tried to make us appreciate religion. XP And if anything, going to religious schools made everyone I know HATE religion. XD

That wasn't it so much for me (although there were some strange moments such as in art class). Just learning about its inconsistencies plus the unavoidable outcome in the very beginning probably helped me to feel the same about any text.
I probably most closely identify with Deism.

Dino Stamatopoulos had planned on showing Orel grow up, as seen in the last episode. Because of all the heavy stuff shown in the third season, Adult Swim canceled the show for being too depressing. It's a shame, because it's a fabulously well written show. Nice fanart.

YES. Oh god, Morel Orel is/was one of the greatest shows. Well... it had the greatest series finale ever. It made me cry. I'm so impressed by this show I can hardly stand it.

The only thing keeping me from looking up these episodes online is the possibility of catching them for real now that they're back on Adult Swim. If 'Orel's Movie Premiere's representation of it is accurate, though, then I'm sure to loooove that'n!

I never got to watch Orel Morel much because my parents found it pretty offensive (with good reason), but I snuck it in small doses anyways.
I remember seeing it after a long time of having no fix, and itwas so... serious and deep and actually really really good while still humorous. <3 oh the lovely things

At first, I hated Moral Orel. "HURR HURR FUNDIES IS DUMB" got old pretty fast.
But then I saw the Christmas episode. And how the series got progressively darker in the second season. And the third season.. whoa.
I'm pretty sure it was canceled because it got too depressing.

Yeah, but the ratings were still good, I wish Adult Swim had stuck with it.. It sounds like the characters' lives were supposed to get better in future seasons, with Orel meeting his grandpa and Bloberta falling in love with Officer Papermouth.

I think my fav part of that episode is the fact that he knows HOW to smoke crack, no explanation for him or anything.
