So about a year ago, it occured to me that I could use this... YOUTUBE thing to finally watch this Mystery Science Theater 3000 show I had heard so much about. AND I LOVED IT. But as the school year got busier, I forgot about watching it and only got back into it this past July. Last Wednesday, I was feeling sad, so I decided to spoil myself and watch the fan-declared best episode of MST3K: "MANOS": The Hands of Fate!And so I needed to draw this to hopefully get rid of my current Torgo obsession.
I would be him for Halloween, but no one would get the joke. XP So right now it looks like I'll either be Skeeter Valentine or Stu Pickles. Probably Stu because it's easier and a less obvious nostalgia choice. You can only milk HONK HONK so much.... Because I'll be a senior on Friday, we get to wear costumes to school on Halloween, so I DON'T WANT TO WASTE THIS. To clarify, I don't go trick-or-treating. Not a good neighborhood for that.

Shit.... I realize when I faved this oh so long ago I never got the reference.... The master would not approve. I do now... I own this episode along with Santa Clause Conquers the Martians (The Essentials DVD) and I absolutely love the episodes......

I liked MST for a long while, and I still have a shelf full of DVD's of my favorite episodes.
I don't watch it much anymore though.
Love Torgo, though. He's epically awesome.

I don't think I'd watch it much if I had it on DVD. No matter how much I love a show or movie, I rarely watch DVDs more than once, and usually just the special features. XP

Wow, took you some time to experience MST3K. I've been busting a gut at that for as long as I can remember, great concept. Rifftrax isn't bad, but it just isn't the same without the robots and Joel/Mike at the screen.

I was just a little Kevin when it was on, and the only channels I was familiar with during its run were Nickelodeon and the occassional PBS. STRICT PARENTS, WOO! And yeah, Rifftrax is good, but it's no MST3K.
I don't know whether or not Cinematic Titanic is going to stay a live performance/DVD thing or if it's going to be series, but if it does become a series, then that'd probably be a better successor to MST3K than Rifftrax.

Y'know, that would actually be a great way to greet trick-or-treaters! Stand at the door, show off your giante knees, slowly give out candy.... If you do the Torgo-talk, the kiddies wouldn't need to get the reference to find it amusing!

It's a man (Joel Hodgson for the first four or five seasons and Mike Nelson for the rest) and his two robot companions making fun of the bad/old movies (usually horror movies, but short educational films and other genres work their way in) they're forced to watch.
"MANOS" The Hands of Fate is definitely up there on the worst movies list, which is why it's one of the best MST3K episodes. Torgo, for some reason, is really interesting, though. You feel disappointed when he's not in a scene. XP
