Just randomness hehe, i often think of fantasy, its my main inspiration and what i draw most.
Just thought of some warrior type of fluttershy above some plains, i didnt really think of a certain game or anything.

hah, i dont liek weapons either, dunno, i just didnt feel like i could create a warrior without a weapon without it turning into a monk of some kind x3

Well the way I did it was having one of my OCs using hoof-to-hoof combat, and magic.
I feel this image, while it looks really good, out of character for fluttershy. In my opinion swords and arrows are meant to kill with. In the show we only seen spears, which do have a sharp end, only at it's tip, so the spear can be used to hit someone with the staff/stick part of the spear. The are also many unarmed guards. That combined with the fact that ponies natural predators makes me believe that they don't want to kill anything. But are ready to defend themselves if necessary. So by going with fluttershy and using a bow, and sword hurts the image.
TL;DR: I don't think ponies fit with using swords, and bows. Especially not fluttershy.
