Thank you for the comments. My son, family and I do Medieval Viking reenactments with the SCA and got tired of the looks and fragility of the canvas camp chairs. At one of the large events I found a dealer who made the wood camp chairs and talked him into selling them to me unfinished. With the type of abuse I knew they would get I knew just painting them would not hold up. That is why I wood burned them. Each chair is designed for each person. I am the mother crone of the group so mine is the Ragnorock chair. My son is the Viking trader so I did his trading ship with the emblem of the wolf on the top, Dublin port one on his trading rout and the palm tree and buildings to represent the far east port 2. My daughter in law is of Irish descent so I gave her the Irish symbolic "Never a color or crown" will govern her. Thanks again for your comments.
