Its not just Taiko, its a karate symbol over all. Its a long story about the last act of defiance of an Okinawan general, you can get more information by Googling the history of Okinawa

first off this is great art, secondly i have a question about this particular pic. i have a myspace account that has these wings and it took a while to find the original. however on my page they have been altered to a white and grey that somewhat glow. i was wondering if you had done this, and if so could i get an address to find them. i would really like to get these as a tattoo but i can't find the basic without all the myspace garbage in the way. thank you for your time.

People use this particular design all the time either with or without my permission,cant stop them.This would be the original drawing for this design,I personally have not made any sort of alternate pictures of it.

well if you do not have any objections i would really like to use this design for a tattoo, i ask for the simple fact that i know how it feels to make something and have other people run with. it is an awsome design. i can say it will not be used for any other purpose on my end.
