Description
Entry for *Kimir-Ra and *sionra 's contest [link] This drawing depicts their character Leda, who is the goddess of harmony.Feedback/crits welcome, though I'm not sure if I'll be going back to it. Sorry.
And I'll be leaving tomorrow - going to see my grandparents, aunts, uncles and everyone. I'll be gone for about a week, and I'm not sure if I'll have any access to the Internet.
Anyway, have fun everyone! Also, I hope you enjoy this.

For the border, I first made the shape for it, coloured it brown and then on a layer that I transformed into a clipping mask (right click on a layer it and you'll find the "clipping mask" option/I hink it's the "clipping group" option in SAI) I added the texture at a lower opacity... I think the layer mode was overlay. And then I pretty much painted in all those yellowis, redish and greenish stuff with textured brushes, to add variotion. Makes sense? XD

this looks very cool, I love her green hair and dress, makes the pic really stand out. the posing is very gracious, I love love looooove her hair and face, veery pretty, her eyes sparkle, her nose has an elegant and nice shape and her mouth is wonderfully shaped. Also great job on her boobs and collar bones, honestly
Great job on the folds of her clothing, the light blue reflection of the moon light and the skin shading. Looks natural, even if you could have added some more blueish or yellowish tones to darken it a bit and compensate the orangeish tone.
what seems a bit odd are her arms, especially the right one (not holding the rose), it seems quite long and a bit too stiff.

Oh I spent ages on her face, glad it turned out good. I spent ages on the boobs too actually XD.
About the orangeish tones, does that apply to any situation or just night scenes? I don't want to make the same mistake again.

I think you're right distinguishing between light and day settings, I'd really have to observe skin tones more to answer your question about the orangeish tones

This is really quite beautiful! Every time I see a new piece from you it shows you growing in leaps and bounds, I am blown away by how fast you progress! The character is beautiful and I love all the detailing with her skirt and hair, it's super gorgeous. I also totally love the background, the rocks are well painted and the sky is just enough to add to the image. I don't really like the circle 'framing', I actually think continuing the back ground would have made a stronger image, but that could just be me.

Yes, it was a hard decision for me to crop the image and make the frame, but I wouldn't have managed to fill in the whole background in time (leaving tomorrow on a trip) and I really wanted to finish it before I leave.
