I'm not exactly happy with my inability to develop characters and stories but I think before I try roleplaying at all I need to at least figure out a couple of my characters and go more in depth with them than "here's a stereotype they fit" lmao I definitely need to draw my existing characters more instead of creating new ones because I know drawing them helps me figure out who they areΒ

Hell yeah, man! I understand what you mean though, character development is kind of hard for me too. I realized though that roleplaying is like a simulation for my characters. Like, how do they react to this type of person, would they actually go to a place like that, are they going to be a happy drunk or an angry drunk or something in between, are they going to laugh at that kind of joke, ect. I only realize certain things when I actually put them in a situation where I have to choose what my character would really do in. It helps me out a lot.

Dude, insane/cannibal/edgy/angsty/murdering IZ OCS were all the hype not too long ago. I actually still have all mine. One of their names used to be "Acid" and he was a murderer and a rapist and just super awful and edgy. Fucking all the cringe, man. His name has long since been changed, but just ugh. Everything back then was go angst or go home. I feel like I just ranted, I'm sorry. XD

Dude, I struggled with people who wanted to RP with a cannon character (I was often stuck in situations where I'd have to play cannon while the other person played their OCS and that was way before I had RP standards/when I didn't know that roleplay partners should make things equal and fair). They'd say "make Zim/Dib cannon" and I'd do so to the best of my abilities then they say "why is he acting like that, just make them kiss/fuck/hug/ect". Like, bruh. Cannon Zim or Dib would never in a million years do that to your character or they'd at least be insanely oblivious to it. Then they'd complain how I'm not doing it the way they want them to be and that whole ordeal just turned me off to roleplaying most cannon characters. Like, I can't do the RP wrong if I'm playing my own characters and how they're actually do things. They're my characters after all, no way I can get them wrong.

Yeah, most of my classes were awkward and silent. I cringe everytime. I'm the kind of person who hates awkward silence. I found every excuse to talk or make conversation and 95% of the time it backfired and just made things more awkward.

Animation classes are totally silent but it kind of makes sense, everyone is really focused on what they're doing and has headphones in. But yeah in studio classes, I hate awkward silence too. I'm not like a super outgoing person or anything but I'd like if my classmates and I were actually sort of friendly with each other. I miss that about high school lol
