I have that yarn! Or rather, I have a crocheted hat out of that yarn, and my friend(who bought the yarn for me) has a knit hat and a pair of matching knit wrist warmers. They're pretty colors, aren't they?

I feel the same. I'm 21, been knitting since I was 16. I remember when I was in high school I used to bring my knitting into class for finals and I got made fun of. But it was actually pretty funny thinking back on it because I was an amateur and I was trying to knit a dress on straight needles rather than circular ones. Hmm, I should go find that pattern and try again. Anyway, now I take my knitting with me everywhere. If I have to sit for a long period of time, You'll see me with a pair of needles in my hand, at doctors offices, friends'houses, even sometimes in church! lol. Knitting is such a wonderful thing!And I'm always learning new techniques. I taught myself through youtube. Anyway, beautiful picture! Happy knitting!

I've been knitting since right before my 17th birthday. And crocheting since I was 8. I love both.
You get to be really really creative. Right now I'm making myself a pretty halter top(it's pretty even though it's 80's orange).
I just bought a bunch of yarn yesterday to make myself the "Jeanie" wrap from Knitty.com.
