Same haha, I get excited about new game releases but never actually have time to get/play them... This was drawn way back when they had only just given the first preview for BotW and we didn't know the name or that it would be on Switch yet. There's so much to do that it feels like you can just play it endlessly, I actually still didn't beat the last boss either because I wanted to collect more stuff first ahah. And they just announced a sequel is in development!

Hard to say considering that SS has all that technology in Lanayru despite being the earliest. I'm not sure what I think of the increasingly prominent technology in Zelda games, but ancient robots are pretty cool and I didn't mind the trains so I guess I'm neutral.

Yeah whenever I watch the trailer on youtube (which has been like 8 times since I saw it the first time XD) everyone comments saying it isn't Link and that it would be cool to play as Zelda for once, but I like the traditional design of the game, playing as the hero.

Well, you'd still be playing as the hero, it's just that they'd be a different hero from usual. 
Not that I'm against playing as another character, but I don't see the point in making a character that looks and performs so similar to an established one only to say that they're someone else... Playing as Zelda and/or Sheik would be really cool, but playing as a Zelda that looks just like Link and does exactly the same things he does would feel redundant to me. Although I understand the motivation behind it, I've never been into the concept of having Zelda take the tunic and sword and star in a Zelda game doing all the same things Link does, because I feel that'd be ignoring what makes her a separate character... Let her have a different set of primary abilities, like magic and disguises instead of the sword, so I'd feel like I were playing Zelda and not just Link with another name.
(And on that note, hurrah for Zelda, Midna, and Impa being playable in Hyrule Warriors! I'm starting to get interested in the game although I initially wasn't that curious.)

Yeah I'm excited for the other playable characters in Hyrule Warriors. but I'm happy to see it's confirmed that the Link in the teaser trailer is Link. The idea of playing as Impa, Zelda and Midna in a zelda game like Hyrule Warriors, which isn't exactly story-based like the other games and more like a Zelda version of Super smash bros, made me happy that it wasn't the initial "Legend of ZElda" game design. i'm excited for both games and hope that Nintendo will keep the amazing games coming.Β

He's now said that it was a joking comment and this is Link after all. I'm glad that's been cleared up now, because I would have seriously questioned the judgment of making a new character that looked and behaved so much like an established one.

I wonder how the story will play out when they've decided to make this game more open worldly, I've read in an article that the puzzles in the game will not be layed out the same way as the previous games but in a way that from the moment you start playing everything is suppoed to test you with "puzzle" in order for you to proceed with the game.

And i hope Nintendo is going to make Nintendogs spin-off game call Nintendogs Adventure.

Omg dat ponytail 8D If this is Link, then that and the tunic are a pretty drastic redesign for him...
And of course I love this picture, it captures the vibrancy and the energy of the art style so well!

I really like the blue tunic; the patterns on it are cool and it reminds me of the starting clothes in WW, and I'm happy whenever anything reminds me of WW. I hope we're able to play in those clothes for longer than just the starting section!
I love the art style too; "improved Skyward Sword" was my first thought as well and I really like the crisp cel-shaded style of the art. I was excited by the TP-inspired HD graphics in the earlier Zelda tech demo as well, just because HD ZELDA OMG, but I'm several times more excited for this because it's a type of style that really appeals to me. I wish we didn't have to wait till 2015 as well!
And thank you, I'm glad you like the picture and I'm happy I was able to get any of that vibrancy and energy into this! And yeah, the lack of much background is for a few reasons: to make Link stand out, because the background was blurred in the close-up shots of him in the trailer, and because I thought if I did a detailed background I wouldn't finish it in time to be one of the first to post
