Overall

Vision

Originality

Technique

Impact

The topic you the line to is very up to date. We had several cases of amoks around the world and many many children are forced to get active in war: to be a soldier.
In the past children played cops and robbers with simple tools. Today... Well: just look at the photo!

To get everything said in ONE photo you have to be skilled and lucky. In addition the photo hasn't been concepted or composed before: It's a street shot.
The child looking straight to the camera, the passive people in the background, the graffiti are telling the story.

The technique applied to the photo is good, too. The Depth of Field is well chosen. It highlights the child and blurs the other people and the surrounding away. However, some things could have been done better: The feet are cropped a bit and some more space at the borders in general would have been nice. But to get things done in street photography is so much harder than in concepted - or landscape photography.

I salute this amazing piece of ART!

i agree, great street shot... ignored and tolerated by the common people, with the graffiti as a sign of the rebellion and anger which grows from such innocent games.

It really amazed me because i havent seen a kid holding a toy-gun with a helmet for a long time.I remember when i was younger we used to play cops and robbers or even cowboys... His parents were really proud of him and this kid was ''shooting'' practicly everything he saw.I guess the wars all around the world have reached this kids imagination and affected his way of thinking.
You are rigth about the feet, but when you shoot street photography is hard to be accurate at your composition and what really captured my eye was his way looking back at me.
Thank you very much for your critique, much appreciated!

And just today an article in the newspaper: The sales of wartoys have risen rapidly the last three years. No wonder why there is that much war...
Yep, that's what i meant with: "Street photography in combination with an perfect composition is the hardest thing you can imagine"

You're welcome!

I forgot to say that in Decemeber there were allot of riots due to a cop that killed a kid. That also affected the way people are thinking in Greece...

That's really sad! Was there any "reason" why he cilled the kid?

Is there a reason for anyone to do such a thing...?The kid was obviously provocing him,but the most outragous thing is that the cop after claimed that the bullet wasnt aiming at him. That was what got all the people out on the streets, braking windows and shops all around Greece...sad times for us.The next day a photographer took a picture of a cop, again aiming a kid with his gun...

Hmm. Well, i would say: There can be NO JUSTIFICATION but there is a reason everytime.. We had many discussions the last time because there was a new amok some weeks ago.
I can imagine how upset the society might be!
