At the time of submission, this was the first new work for two seasons of the year.

The weather has changed dramatically, as has much of what I recognised as my own life.

The image was one of the first taken with my new Canon 40D, from my bedroom window. While it was taken under the premise of experimentation with new equipment, it turned out to be a decent enough capture to be submitted to deviantART.

At submission it was paired with the written piece now entitled Deadwood. The random scrapping of this piece (along with one or two others) by deviantART staff is what triggered this recent mass updation of work.

Much obliged; this was one of the first shots taken with my DLSR, so in that sense it has some nostalgic value.

Just beautiful, Darren. Although I must say I hate the title; it doesn't really add to the related image (which surely wasn't what you sought anyways). Whatever, beautiful...

Titles are peripheral for most of my work, and this is one of those pieces. Thank-you for the comment, it's appreciated.

"If they look through my gallery I think they'll like Migration" so it's nice to know that you do.

As a writer myself, I enjoy reading the literature of others, you see. Naturally, I want to support the growth of others like me, and lets face it - it's an excellent piece. It says alot.

The favorite and deviantWATCH is simply a token of my support.

I love this piece. But the one line that seems to stick in my head after it's said and done is "My fear of change, changed everything". We do not always want to accept the inevitable path that we walk on. Denial is always our reset. If we don't like it, we avoid it. And whether or not we realize it time will move on. With or without us.

Yes, it's now the tenth month of the year, but have we been counting the hours? Or simply waiting until they pass?

This. Is such a fantastic and raw piece of work. The way it flows and stops with time gives it an ominous, foreboding feel to it. It leaves the reader with an emotion reminiscent of melancholy, of one who's all but fed up and wanting for release.
