Description "Hey, Jon.  I've got something to tell you."
"Yeah, Julie?"
"I've finally thought up a name for this island we're on."
"What's that?"
"Lone Palm Island.  Can you guess how I came up with-"
Jon sighed.  "Because we're on a tiny island with a single palm tree."
Julie's eyes widened, though Jon couldn't see it as they sat with their backs to opposite sides of the lone palm.  "That's amazing!  How did you know?"
Jon just sighed again and looked around the island.  It didn't take long - they were basically sitting on an isolated mound of sand no more than a few yards across with a single palm tree in the center.  He rubbed his scraggly brown beard and silently cursed the day of their shipwreck.
"I have psychic powers, Julie.  Now, leave me alone."

The two sat in silence for several minutes, John planning an elaborate method to signal for help while the imaginary parrot reminded Julie that it was still her friend.  Eventually, Julie could contain herself no longer.
"Hey, Jon."
"...yeah, Julie?"
"Wanna play a game?"
"Why not."
"Okay.  I spy with my little eye, something tall and-"
"The palm tree."
"Whoa, how did you know?"
"Psychic powers.  Leave me alone."

The waves slowly lapped up onto the warm sand before fading back into the sea.
"Jon."
"Yes, Julie, what is it this time?"
"Do you think you might be able to get me a milkshake?"
Jon paused for a moment, trying to comprehend what strange mechanisms in Julie's head could lead her to that question.
"Of course not.  That's ridiculous."
"Oh, I see.  Well, I sort of suspected you didn't like me this whole time..."
"It's not that I don't like you, it's that we're kind of on a tiny island in the middle of the freaking ocean."
"Mm-hm.  Justify it how you will.  The parrot and I are perfectly happy on this side of the palm tree."
Jon paused again, looking over his shoulder up at the tree.  "What parrot?"

The long fronds of the palm tree rustled quietly in the ocean breeze.
"Hey, Jon."
Jon sighed quietly.  "Yeah, Julie?"
"Have you ever thought about settling down here and starting a family?"
'No, actually, I haven't.  I'd rather try to get off this island, since I'd prefer drowning to having kids with you."
"You men are all the same.  Just want to wander around and see the world and never raise a loving family."
"I never said that, I-"
"No, no, no need to apologize for yourself.  I see how it is."
Jon sighed, much more loudly this time.

"Jon.  We need to talk."
"Jeez, Julie, what is it this time?"
"You've been cheating on me, haven't you.  You've been sleeping with another woman."
"Well, A, that would require me to have been sleeping with you in the first place, and B, that would require that there be another woman within a hundred freaking miles of this island."
"Oh my god, you've been cheating, haven't you?!  Don't lie to me, Jon!"
"Come on, Julie, I'm not lying!  Keep yourself together!"
"How could you do this to me!  After all we had going!"
"...yeah, the intimacy of being on the same crashed ship," muttered Jon.
"Well, I don't need this in a relationship!  I'm getting my things and leaving!"
"What things do you have?  Where are you leaving to?"
"Stop it, Jon.  I don't want to speak to you anymore."
Jon felt a slight tap on his shoulder and looked to the side, finding a colorful parrot on his shoulder.
"Don't worry, Jon," it said.  "I'm still your friend."
