Description Colossus - Audiomachine

EDIT: Added a shadow, and remembered to reactivate a shading layer.

This began as a sketch during some free time in my IT Essentials class. Some peeps in there wanted to see me sketch something. The sketch is in my sketchdump at the bottom left number 27. draconemkrypton.deviantart.com… I got about halfway done sketching before the class ended, but liked it enough to continue. I used it as 3/4th angle practice again and I think this might be my best attempt yet. Doing a skyscape was fun and I'm pretty happy with how that turned out. The cliff that Klamath is standing on...heh, not so much. XD This took about two and a half hours of work total, with scales and shading included.

You're really enjoying this brush for backgrounds, I see. The rock looks just a bit fuzzy though. As for Klamath, you did a good job on the perspective. His scales look great from a distance, though upon closer inspection it looks a little rushed. Shading looks really good with a few spots that I kinda question- adding the light to Klamath's neck is nice to help pronounce that puff of muscle, but it shouldn't be shaded directly on both sides; just the bottom, since the only light source is from behind. Looks great otherwise! Proud of your effort on scales, as always.

Yes, I do. XD Β And yeah, I probably shouldn't have used it for the solid rock. XD Β And yay. Β But yeah, the scales will get better with practice (and yep, they were a little rushed. ~10 minutes for all of them) Β And ohhhhhh, I see that now. I'll remember that. 8D Annnd thanks

Lol yes. Shiny brush or smooth, but unless that is a brown and white pumice rock off the coast of Hawaii, I think you'll want to avoid pores in the texture, hehe. Most welcome dear!

I love Klamath's horns so much. I also think you did a really good job on the cliff as well as the shading on the wing membrane.
