Mei Lei is a character I've had in my head for a couple years, though I never really fleshed her out until now. I thought she could be a contestant for 's Backseat Betties contest. The name Mei Lei is meant to be a play on melee...however her name and her gimmick/theme don't really sync up. She's supposed to be a mobster/hitman sorta chick. I just really wanted to enter this contest, so here she is.Oh, and one more thing. I hope no one ever feels obligated to comment on my stuff. I realize that I post stuff pretty regularly, and I'd hate to think I'm forcing people to comment so frequently.

I love how the suspenders are what's giving her the wanna be wedgy.
Hopefully she knows how to handle that hair! I tried something simliar with my hair (which is twice as long)...sucks when you have the hair whipping back at you. Maybe that's how she got the mark on her face...

Dude, that's exactly how she got that mark on her face. She had it coming. I mean, come on...if you put a mace in your hair its gonna eventually hit you.

Well, I wasn't as daring as her! I just put in several of those old kid's ponytail holders that have the two marble-like balls on it. The weight of them made for some heavyduty swinging and hurtin'! Even without them, I can hurt ppl just by whipping my hair around just right...especially at their face.
When I used to get into my friend's car (passenger seat) and went to sit down, the way I naturally got in would swing my hair up enough to hit her in the face if she was in the seat already (always have my hair in a classic TombRaider style ponytail). She didn't like that....

That's.. uh.. a very interesting design! And.. I like the tie! I think it's really cool that you took something that's very formulaic like a mobster outfit and made it you own, made it into a leotard-thing. There are 2 things that bother me about this, one being her ball-and-chain hair. I like that you incorporated the spike-ball-thing into her lip-ring though. Okay the other thing is I think the exaggerated proportions of the head and neck are a bit distracting for me. But, as always, that's just my personal response to the img. Keep up the good work, and good luck on the contest.

I designed the outfit with over-the-top sexiness and impracticality in mind. I was sorta competing against some pretty cool and skimpy outfits for this contest.
In response to your comment (haha, how formal eh?) The head was designed separately from the outfit. Months apart, actually. The head was based on the design I came up with more Mei Lei my Mortal Kombat character, and the body was inspired by a friend based on the bowler she's wearing. So the two might not sync up, but I really wanted to enter this contest.

Thanks man, I'll be interested to see how it turns out. It's always nice to enter comps, you get a little practice making things to brief and in this kinda setup it always makes sense to try really hard cos if you do you get a great piece out of it. Best of luck ^_^
