One doesn't really realize just how high up you are until you look across and realize that those peaks are no longer way "up" there, but are across from you. It's huge difference from being on the valley floor. This was taken up from the top above the Oeschinnen cable car coming up over the summit of the trail from the lake (Oeschinnensee) but before descending back down to the cable car. A decent work-out in the high fresh powder that had fallen for the previous 24 hours!Related content

Yes, fair enough. The red is the tip top of a pole marking the cross country ski piste for the national race and the lump, well that's Mother Nature, but I take your points, both, as quite valid.
