Balaur is a strange man: born out of nowhere, in a jungle, in a scientific laboratory...he lived for years like an animal.
Only after a LOT of time, young Crios found this little lion boy... and with another soldier he try to approuch him.
The young Balur run away, fast as he could.
After a month and numerous sightings, Crios could take to the war camp the other boy.
MANY thing happens, before the two boys were take away from war by Zellos Na'Terim, the famous adventurer and war hero.
Their wounds healed (the ones that can be healed) and the war hero, notorius for his glacial attitude, decided to adopt them.

They became brothers ( like they were in the war camp) officially, and they lived together...
With moments like this: Balaur is very curios and VERY attached to his older brother and everytime try to see what he does. He is particular curios of book in general: he don't like them (apart from math books), so he search to understand what his brother sees in them
