Don't you think that Medusa was unfairly punished by Athena- which was supposed to be so wise? Just imagine how many women would be having snakes on their heads and how many men would be pieces of stone art if Athena would be the one judging us.
This drawing was supposed to be one of my quick daily sketches, however I liked Medusa so much that I decided to invest a bit more time *read 3 hours* into drawing her.

That story is totally unfair, as was the Greek society towards women: she's the one who gets raped, and the one blamed, not Poseidon, of course... from a virgin and wise goddess, that's a terrible mistake ! The same when she fails to protect Cassandra when she seeks for her help graping the Palladium and still gets raped by Ajax... I used to really love Athena, but she NEVER protects the virgins from rape, even in her own temples, so she's quite worthless, methinks
