Description I drew this one today, it's a simple pencil sketch about being blind. Not literally... well maybe literal too
PS: it's not a scan, it's a photo hence the bad image quality

Your English isn't bad
I don't know if I should call myself an artist or not, because I don't have an art school diploma, so I am honored and flattered if you consider my drawings "art". It makes me want to paint more. Thanks for the comment - it gives me a reason to continue painting

You're welcome for me, it's only a pleasure!!! And you are a really great artist! The art school diploma is only a piece of paper! You have much more: you have talent!

I agree - this drawing is hauntingly beautiful. What does it mean, I wonder?

I learned from a Native American gentlemen that memories are stored in each string of hair. Most Native Americans cut their hair to end certain memories and start all over and transition like a butterfly. I automatically think of this situation when I see her with the scissors.

As for clothes, they are apart of our shallow identities - the identities that others judge us on. I wonder if the female in this image is finally freeing herself. She is no longer at the mercy of the opinions of others. She is officially a women of her own will.

I always see this theme in your work. It very inspiring.

I didn't know about the native American traditions but I know that women cut their hair after a sad event. Also I thought that after this misfortune, she, whoever she is (not me), would then realize that she must have been blind to make such a mistake. I actually drew her left eye in the original drawing, but it didn't look good in this photo of it (because of the low quality). As for the clothes part, that's exactly what I was thinking about! Too much philosophy for a simple sketch, right?

"Too much philosophy for a simple sketch..."

In my book, there is no such thing when it comes to good art.
