Description
An illustration for the band the 'Winona Ryders' who let me listen to their then unreleased album 'Evacuation songs'for inspiration. Kind ofΒ went off on a apocalyptic travel moebius idea. Drawn in technical pen then watercoloured with photoshop for a few digital colour tweaks. The guys in the band were great to work with and bloody nice chaps. They have their amazing garage rock (not sure if thats the right term exactly) album for download on bandcamp, for whatever price you see fit.thewinonaryders.bandcamp.com/

Some would have a bonus poster sized artwork inside. You're right, I used to be influenced by the art on the sleeve. Now that it has all been miniaturised it doesn't have the eye appeal.

One of my favourites, which i was lent by a mate of my dads was the orignal pressing of the hawkwind album 'in search of space'. Not only a great album but itΒ had a gatefold sleeve designed by the awesome and underated Barney Bubbles as well as a printed 16 page a4 booklet which was 'the continuing adventures of the starship Hawkwind'. Thats really showing a lot of love for the fans.
