Pretty little Hummingbird... My muse has finally seen fit to let me draw again...
Thank you to Joan McDaniel for the lovely reference photo found in the Facebook group, Photos for Artists.
Background done in Soft Pastels, the rest of the drawing is done in colored pencils and a bit of Sharpie paint pen on blue Canson Mi-Teintes acid free Pastel paper. 5 x 7 inches. Aw, so cute and detailed! I love how each feather is like a sequin. The eye could be darker to emphasize the highlight, but over-all, very well done!
