Description
Work-In-Progress #1 (partial) OR "Kuroshitsuji Shirobara" (color) of Sebastian with black wings. I'm almost finished with the figure. What's left is the wings which takes up the majority of this picture. This is just a partial view of Sebby's head and the white rose.
I just got to the scan of original Japanese manga about this "young master's favorite rose" -- it's 白薔薇 (white rose), but subtitled in katakana as スターリング・シルバー ('Sterling Silver' Rose), which is a lavender-pink rose...
What am I going to do about the rose coloring now...?

Awwww, you're so sweet. I would eventually like to draw other characters from "Kuroshitsuji", too -- like Madam Red and Ciel, but I'm too busy ogling Sebastian ... just yet.

i've been able to draw Ceil, Sebastian, Greil and Undertaker so far....my fav is Undertaker because i'm actually going to school to become a mortician so he's like my idol...lol

Oohh he's enchanting all right XD Oooooo "innocent black wings" You know if you put that into a certain context and thought hard enough about it lol it could be considered an oxymoron. BUT I love the white rose cause it's balance to the black wings. Of course maybe now I'M thinking too much about it! LOL It's a pretty pretty lol ^_^

Haha. You know, I almost put "innocent black wings (oxymoronic!)" to my earlier reply. We think so alike!
The anime (and probably the original manga, too) does poke fun at the ecclesiastical religion, pointing out their lies, deception, corruption, etc. Sebastian is like the voice of reason that questions all that. In some sense, he's very "pure".

I'm not into yaoi manga/anime per se. If they offer that in doujinshi, I might pick it up, but things don't have to be yaoi to catch my attention.
I'm panicking thinking that there might be only 26 episodes for this series, judging from the wiki entry...

Well, I knew that. Just for some reason when I watched that video in your journal I only saw guys LOL so I figured there would at least be yaoi undertones throughout.. kinda like with Kyo Kara Maoh! Which I haven't been able to get through, unfortunately. Because everyone says the second season is way better than the first. lol It's just too... too something for me to really get into it like I get into some other things.
Ah! I hate when animes I really like only have 26 episodes. And I especially dislike the ones that only have 13

Ture, the OP clip (both versions) basically only show boys... And yeah, the red guy with long hair and a chain saw definitely wants Sebby(There was a declaration in one ep. where he said "I want to have your babies."...).
I'm kinda warming up an idea for a fic with an OC added into the mix. At the moment, it's brewing up to be kind of incestuous...*sigh* Pervy mind never stops churning stuff.
If the series really ends with only 26 ep., I might have to start a doujin comm over at LJ like champloo-dj and translate like crazy.

Based on the fact that Sebby would do a girl (ep 17 of the anime), I've been thinking about writing a fic, inserting my OC named Lilith, who is a twin sister of Sebby...
anilinkz has all the episodes that's out so far subbed in English, if you want to check out the anime. Scanlation of the manga is easy to find as well.

They make it pretty clear in the series that the young master's favorite flower is a white rose. And they had this beautiful image in the ending theme #2 where Sebas-chan is standing over the young master ('s dead body... I presume) laid in a coffin full of white roses. Very romantic.

I thought it was Sterling roses, which are a silver/lavender rose... but that might be a problem with the translation I have. Which I wouldn't be surprised at, at all....

I got my hands on the original manga in Japanese about this today. Guess what? The main text clearly spells out 白薔薇 which is undoubtedly "white rose", but the small subtitling in katakana right along the kanji spells out スターリング・シルバー・ローズ which is "Sterling Silver Rose". *sigh* So the scanlation was correct. And the anime was correct.
I guess I'm going to give the rose a lavender tint after all...
I never knew fanart can give me headaches like this.

Hehehe. Thanks. I'm too new to this fandom to do anything other than canon. Actually, that's my preference for seeing or reading other people's work as well. I prefer the characters to be "in character" (but I have not seen the wings in the series... just yet... Although I have seen the original creator's illustration of winged Sebastian.

I've only watched the anime, so you're probably right on that. In the anime, there are characters not found in the manga, too. So...
I'm almost ready to write a fan fic after watching ep. 17. (You wouldn't believe it, but Sebby was banging a girl in a hut to try to get some information out of her!

Working on the wings... and tweaking a few details that I decided needed fixing. Digital can be a pain in the butt because there's no way I can see the whole picture big enough on my monitor. *grr*
