►  Whenever he moves, he does not make any sound. It is especially eerie at night when he moves about, casting shadows upon guests' doors/windows...or actually being the shadow
►  Does not need to sleep or eat technically. He does rather enjoy the concept of food, preferring human food as opposed to human as food.
►  Is able to become a/merge into shadow and prefers this mode of transport. Unfortunately he can't see, hear, smell, or speak while in this mode. He sees via feeling how he bends and turns along the surface. if he feels the need to he can resurface his head ,or a part such as an ear or hand, but he often gets hit with something whenever he does.
►  Abilities are strongest on clear nights with bright moonlight

►[ REASON FOR STAYING ]:: Good food, got a roof over his head, good people...er customers. The ryoukan is already "haunted" by youkais so he doesn't have to worry about humans exorcising him out
►[ ROOM ]:: His room is on the same level as the basement with a large window. It's small, modern, full of scraps of metal he tinkers with, the tools he uses, and all the video games. Rather dimly lit or not lit at all. There's a corner dedicated to all the "junk" Shima wanted out of her sight.

Yuuya's a rather anxious and fidgety fellow that doesn't seem to be able to stand in one place for long. One could be talking to him one moment, blink, and there he goes...merged with a wall or floorboard probably. He is as transparent as they come and unable to lie to save his life. While his self-esteem about himself is average, the self-esteem he has towards his works is another story entirely. The man is insecure about the tiniest things regarding finished projects, constantly thinking about how the inn occupants would see it as. He doesn't like being seen while working yet constantly frets over the state of the ryoukan. Unfortunately, Yuuya checks over everything as a shadow and whether the occupant asks for it or not. If he feels as though his job isn't being taken seriously and/or you're breaking something just to break it, he'll be petty enough to rearrange your whole room...when you're away >(

Unlike some other older youkai's, Yuuya is modern and enjoys the perks that comes with it. He's a generous soul and just wants to be helpful in some way. No matter how big or small the issue, Yuuya is punctual in getting it done. Since he doesn't need to sleep, he can get long projects done in a matter of time. Although, he forgets that others need to sleep and will hammer away at god-awful hours. Every project he does, he does with precision and accuracy. Sloppiness, when it comes to work, is unacceptable. The state of his room is another story entirely.

» H I S T O R Y  «
No one really knows how long Yuuya has stayed at the ryoukan or when did he ever become a resident. Rumor has it that he's been there since the inn was erected. There just has been stories of shadows traveling along the walls during the night, and sometimes even during the day. Things that got damaged seem to be magically repaired by the next day, yet no one has ever seen who's responsible. Only Toshio, and some select others, seems to know who, or what, it is.

From Yuuya's point of view: The Kage Otoko has no idea when he came into existence. One day he was just here and spent his life blending with the humans...literally blending into their shadows. As one of the more "modern" kage youkai's, he didn't like spending his life in some abandoned building. Unfortunately, everywhere he goes, thanks to the curse of his species, humans eventually move out because the place becomes "haunted" (aka overran by youkai's). Decades passed as he traveled from housing to housing, building to building. Soon he found himself at the newly built Watari Inn, a place that was going to welcome both humans and youkai alike. In return for a room, Yuuya "pays" by working for the Inn as its mysterious maintenance man.

► To get his attention while he's in shadow mode, bang on the surface of whatever he's on. Please be extra careful of the shoji screens!!
► Easiest way to get him to come out is to lure him with wasabi flavoured anything, scraps of metal, or a new video game
► If anything breaks down, leaks, gets destroyed by a stray fireball, etc, just send your requests/complaints to the front and he'll get them done
► Sunlight caused shadows works too but he feels sluggish with those
► There may or may not be a small beehive in his room and basement. Or at least that's what he claims to keep people, and youkai, out
► His eyes don't have pupils. Yes, he can see just fine, thank you very much
► Most of the stuff in his room was because Shima wanted it out of her sight.
