As a gay man, I really enjoy this! Thank you! Plus, I just get tired of the same old tropes.

Tell me about it. It is especially annoying when writers/artists claim it to be oh so progressive.

You read the thoughts months, always liked to think contrary to what most people thought, that the werewolf had to be a man and that he is abducted his beloved girl, but I wanted the opposite of that, because I think very unfair only men are werewolves.

Well if you have the thought, do a picture. There are still plenty of poses left for such a concept.

I know that this has been on here since January, but as I've been developing my own species, I've run into the same problem, at least from a literary standpoint. I couldn't get around the issue, so I've been playing with the gender issue as a theme. Since the genders are not particularly dimorphic, the species is egalitarian to the point that they're confused and disgusted by the idea of gender roles and use that as one of their excuses to treat humans like livestock. But that's a totally different medium.
The obvious answer, as you pointed out, is boobage, but it's too blatantly sexualized and I absolutely hate seeing a werewolf with massive boobs that put Morganna's to shame. Boobage breaks up the wolf's otherwise smooth outline and it doesn't make much sense to go running around on all fours with two giant orbs of fat swinging around. Modest boobage? Maybe. Alternatively, you could make her more lithe and feminine, but what's the point in that? It really ruins the "monster" aspect if you take away the muscle. The best I can think of as answer would be that it's the subtle details - wider hips, slightly narrower shoulders, and thinner muzzle. When I fullviewed this, I did get the idea that she was female almost immediately, so your techniques worked.
Overall, this is an interesting subversion of the typical werewolf and I for one am glad that we can have werewolves in both genders depicted in a reasonably realistic, scary, non-sexualized way. I really hate it when the males look like brutish beasts while the females look like something from the furry fandom - or worse, typical brute werewolf males and females who look like anime wolfgirls. Or the cheap method used in Underworld where the issue got dodged by not having any female werewolves at all. I can't even decide which of these gets under my skin the most.
It does get to the point where you have to wonder: "if there was a monster chewing on my face, would I really care about the equipment between its legs?"

I completely agree with you on all points. I've made it a point in my own werewolf fiction that males and females look pretty similar in terms of werewolf form, with females only being ever so slightly smaller than males and with no breasts. So unless there's a huge height difference between two individuals, it'd be nearly impossible to tell.
It does get annoying when werewolves are portrayed in the way humans are, instead of what they're "traditionally" supposed to be. However, a good counter to this was the movie Cursed.

That is a good question. I remember one guy saying that female werewolves (it was about Underworld) are not sexy. But this is disturbing in two ways:
1) It implies that a female actor must be sexy no matter what.
2) It implies that transformed male werewolves are sexy (I mean if its not about that why care)?
And the whole furry werewolves was the problem I had with the Worgen of WoW, sure the females look more threatening than their counterparts in other races, but compared to the males they are awfully thin.

As a fellow werewolf artist, I hit the feminine problem last year. My solutions were:
For the human side, give her wider hips, more narrow shoulders.
For the wolf side, give her a shorter mane, less bulky upper body muscle, thinner/narrower muzzle.
My honest input though is that this is fine. The ear rings and her choice of kidnapping sold the gender for me. In order to make it really obvious you're going to end up with something too cute or too sexualized to hold that face-eating werewolf personality. But if you want to experiment around I found the above to work well.

Thanks.
Yeah, the cuteness stuff is a problem. Especially a narrower muzzle holds the danger of ending up looking like a spitz or a coyote.
The only possibility I can think of is by making the wolf very thin and with visible breasts. But not thin in the smooth way, but rather like being mangy. That could work I think.

I would try giving her(the werewolf) a slimmer frame, something still vicious, but shows feminine attributes.

I'll try later. Perhaps something with wider hips.

It makes sense that she wouldn't have breasts, given that wolves are far less sexually dimorphic than humans.

This is really great. I love seeing a new take/perspective on an old idea. This is really well drawn and the lighting and shadows are terrrific.
If you're interested in making her seem more feminine you could try to narrow the shoulders a little and possibly round the angles on the face more. Also, you could play with how the eyes look, that trick always seemed to work for Disney when they wanted girly animal characters.

The eyes probably would have made her look too harmless. Maybe the shoulders. But I am sure my next one will definitely be identifyable as female. Even if I have to use a more comic-like style.

We'll see, I definitely plan to show a female in transformation. Not sure whether it would be a werewolf but based on the picture I have in mind it won't matter anyway since it's mostly about bulging muscles, fur and claws.
